The Janty Ego Review by Ghost
Having used the Janty Dura C for over a year in was time for a change......I wanted something that gave good vapour production and long battery life.
The problem with the Dura was the constant need to charge batteries, however the Ego certainly lives up to its name - the battery when fully charged (<2hrs) lasts a good 5 hours of heavy use, and upto 9+ hours of casual use. Which is ideal if you are out all day and certainly if you are looking for a small device to take on holiday.
The vapour production is very good particularly if you direct drip onto the atomiser, and you don't appear to get a drop in performance over the life of the battery, unlike the Dura.
The look and feel of the device is also very good; it does have a sense of quality, despite where its made you might think.
I've been using it now for over a week and couldn't be happier, I tend to drip lol so will probably get the tip attachment with my next order as it is a pain having to take the plastic cartridge on and off all the time.
Oh yeah, it comes with a cool looking pouch to keep it from getting scratched etc when in your pocket.
9/10 big improvement on the Dura :-) (Posted on 29/06/2010) -
First Impressions of the Janty eGo Review by Gadget
I have been using the Janty eGo for a few days now and here is my opinion of the device:
First the service. As usual, iVapour have provided an exceptional service from answering questions about the device through to delivery. I ended up ordering the eGo late one afternoon and it arrived the very next day.
Packaging. The packaging is up to Janty's usual high standard coming supplied in a nice box with all components securely placed inside. My box came with 2 batteries, one 510 atty, USB charger, pouch, Manual, UK mains adapter, 5 RY4 carts, a small bottle of RY4 juice and the coned atty cover - in short everything you need to get going.
The Device. What can I say, it looks so very smart. It is very solid and looks very very expensive. Everything fits together very well and is a joy to use. Unlike my SD which was always rolling off the table, window ledge etc., the eGo's small button stops the device from falling off things.
Using the eGo. A fully charged battery lasts between 5:30 and 5:45 for me and I vape pretty much non stop! This is excellent. Being into my gadgets, the white LED under the clear button which lights up when you press it is a nice touch.
The vape is wonderful providing a good throat hit and a full flavour. I prefer the 901 atty's to the 510 so I also bought an adapter which works a treat. A stainless steel 901 atty does not look out of place on the eGo.
Long term. I have no plans on using any other device at the moment as the eGo works very well for me. Its a lot smaller than the SD that I was using and IMO looks much smarter (I'm a gadget snob :) ). Now that I can use my 901's on it this is the perfect device for me. (Posted on 15/02/2010)
