Janty eGo USB battery with Cisco LR 306 vs standard 510 Review by Nortman
So, "back in the day" when I started vaping I thought that I would want the same pleasures I had when I was smoking rollies. Equal to the nicotine, was the wish to fiddle with things - namely making the rolls. I read through a variety of options and decided my first set up should be a 510 mini with PCC - because after all, what's a little unscrewing if not the wiggly finger part of making a smoke? Plus the combination of 2 batteries and the case would keep me powered up all day. In fact, depending on use it would sometimes stretch out to a day and a half.

Well, as many people find, the battery swapping became really quite frustrating - mostly because its a disassembly and thus a distraction from the pleasure. The fiddly bit I actually enjoyed was making juices and - to an extent - topping off carts.

This is when I started to wonder about dripping. Why bother to drip into one vessel, only to attach it to "the business."

To save a convoluted thought process, and suffice to say that it was a combination of vendor reviews and price that led me to iVapour who graciously took my money in exchange for an eGo USB, cone, Cisco L306, and clear drip tip.

Whilst I'm sure the majority of you are only too aware of what this kit is, here's my two pennies worth. The eGo is a 650mAh battery with USB capability (a USB port in the end). The Cisco is an American made (and we are assured - therefore better) Low Resistance 306 atty. The 306 has the same battery thread as a 510, but the bridge is exposed.

Having no other 306's to compare to, I shall compare with a 510. Under the 510 bridge are several threads which some suppose are the source of occasional burnt taste. Cisco's L306 does not have these. Being a 306, the bridge is exposed and so a drip tip is a must. Again - hands up - I've not seen any carts for these, but I imagine they would be tiny.

The size of the eGo has always made me wonder why it doesn't have a USB port in the base, and now it does. When not in use it is protected from pocket fluff by a screw on cap. When charging - including when being used as a passthrough (yes, its an eGo you can charge AND vape with) there's a little red light. Bless.

~~~~~~~The Review~~~~~~~~
There are plenty of vids now that show the clouds that come off this atty. The trouble I find with vape vids is one has no idea how hard / soft someone is drawing on their device, or if the anatomy of their mouth is just particularly suited to look like Famine's horse on the morning of the Apocalypse. I watched many a reviewer of a standard 510 blowing out unobtainable nimbi, only to be disappointed by the inconsistency. I now think this may be down to low battery capacity, having used 510's with my new eGo, whilst not as billowy as ol' Cisco - they perform a lot better.
The vape from Cisco's atty is warm, but its the satifsying cigarettesque warmth of a good smoke. The flavour is again subjective - on many occasions better, more often just pleasingly different.
The USB part of the eGo is awesome - why bother faffing around with putting your favourite atty onto a passthrough when you can just plug in your whole PV? The build is good, though the button is a little loose - it moves sideways as well as down. To be honest through, 20 quid (30 if you include a cone and one of Cisco's beauties) cant really see you go wrong. Plastic buttons might be a bug bear on a £90 device, but not here.
All up, fantastic purchase, and I'm well impressed. Whilst I'm sure this isn't quite as comprehensive as it could be, I'm always open to questions!
As a further note - iVapour were prompt and didn't over do their packaging. Great value for money, and I will be back. Just gutted I forgot to click RY4 while ordering! (Posted on 20/11/2010)
Those who love the convenience of vaping while charging will love this - and because it's an Ego battery you don't need to do it very often. Outstanding! (Posted on 14/07/2010)
